This effective, non-invasive treatment modality provides impressive results with minimal to no down time.

In order to assess your suitability for this treatment, please book online for a Visia Skin Consultation with one of our experienced therapists ($99). This amount will be reimbursed on your first IPL treatment.

What is IPL Photorejuvenation?

IPL photrejuvenation is a skin rejuvenating procedure which utilises Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat the signs of ageing from UV induced damage on the face, neck, decolletage and hands.

What are the benefits of IPL Photorejuvenation?

The IPL device consists of multiple different wavelengths, which means, the treatment can target multiple concerns at once such as redness and pigmentation rather than requiring two separate procedures. IPL is used to treat: pigmentation such as age spots and freckles, broken capillaries, cherry angioma’s, diffuse redness and uneven skin tone. IPL also has the ability to reach the dermis to stimulate our skins natural collagen production. This means that whilst we’re treating pigmentation and redness, the collagen stimulation is also helping to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, reducing the appearance of enlarged pores and plumping the skin. So as you can see, IPL is a fantastic skin rejuvenating treatment targeting multiple concerns at once!

Who is the ideal candidate for this procedure?

Both men and women concerned with the visible signs of aging and sun-damage can benefit from a course of IPL photorejuvenation treatments. However, due to IPL targeting pigmentation within the skin, this procedure is only suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types 1-3 and is not suitable for very tanned skin. To find out whether you’re suitable for this treatment, please book a skin consultation with one of our experience clinicians.

How many treatments are required to see results?

While you can usually notice a visible difference in your skin after one treatment, we generally recommend a course of 4-6 treatments at 3 weekly intervals for the best results. Each treatment takes anywhere between 15-60 minutes each, depending on the area(s) being treated.

How is an IPL procedure performed?

After the treatment area is thoroughly cleansed, goggles are applied to your eyes to protect them from the IPL light and a cold gel is applied to the skin. With each pulse of the IPL you may experience some very mild discomfort such as slight sting, which people liken to the sensation of a rubber band flicking.

How much do IPL treatments cost?

The costs of an IPL photorejuvenation treatment will vary depending on the area being treated and the length of time required. Prior to a treatment, we carry out a detailed skin consultation to tailor a package suitable to your skin and your skin concerns. Please book online for a Visa Skin Consultation with one of our experienced clinicians who will answer any questions and discuss pricing with you. The cost of your skin consultation ($99) is redeemable upon commencement of IPL photorejuvenation treatment.
